Welcome to my website! I am Gladys Olambo Okoth, a dedicated educator with over 20 years of experience in nurturing young minds and fostering holistic development. My passion lies in creating supportive, engaging learning environments where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

My Journey
I currently serve as the Deputy Head Teacher at Mitiro Primary School in South Sakwa Ward, Siaya County. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working in various educational roles, from teaching and curriculum development to student mentorship and administration. Each experience has strengthened my belief in the transformative power of education.

As a leader, I am deeply committed to advocating for the rights and welfare of female educators. I proudly represent my peers as the Woman Representative for the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) in Bondo Sub-County and Siaya County. Through this role, I work to ensure that the voices of women in education are heard and respected.

Beyond my professional duties, I am passionate about empowering women and girls in my community. As the County Coordinator for the Kenya Women Teachers’ Association (KEWOTA) and Sub-County Commissioner for the Kenya Girl Guides Association, I lead initiatives to promote gender equality, mentorship, and opportunities for personal growth.

My Education and Expertise
I hold a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood Education from Africa Nazarene University and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from Prestige Teachers’ College. My expertise includes curriculum design, classroom management, student assessment, and the use of modern educational technology to enhance learning experiences.

My Mission
I believe education is the key to unlocking potential and creating a brighter future for individuals and communities. My mission is to inspire, educate, and empower students while advocating for equity and opportunities for all, especially women and girls.
